How to Top Dress Your Yard ✅

Begin by mowing your grass shorter than usual (but not scalping it). This helps the LawnLevel™ mix reach the soil surface more effectively and ensures even coverage. Bag your clippings to keep the lawn free of debris.

Use a wheelbarrow, shovel, or broadcast spreader to evenly distribute LawnLevel™ across your lawn. Focus on low spots, uneven areas, or places with bare patches. Aim for a light and even layer across the entire surface — generally ¼ to ½ inch thick.

Use a landscape rake or leveling lute to spread the mix across the surface. Work it into the grass so the blades remain exposed and upright. Avoid burying the grass — the goal is to level the soil while keeping the lawn healthy and breathable.

Lightly water the treated area to help the LawnLevel™ settle into the soil. This also activates the eco-dyed pigment and helps bond the mix to the turf. Avoid overwatering, which may cause washouts.

• Apply when the grass is actively growing (late spring through early fall).
• Water daily for the first few days if no rainfall is expected.
• For larger low spots, you may repeat this process every 4–6 weeks as needed.
